NCRG goes to Blood
Plasma C5 is associated with increased risk of venous thrombosis.
NCRG, here represented by Espen Waage Skjeflo (first author) and colleagues , together with TREC at the University of Tromsø, here represented by John-Bjarne Hansen (last author) and colleagues, have succeeded to show an important association between the level of plasma C5 and the risk of venous thrombosis. This collaboration and the present study has expanded our knowledge of the cross-talk between complement and haemostasis.
